This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but you could open a new terminal on the local machine, then ssh to the remote machine with this command: ssh -t remotemachine "cd Documents; bash" -Rob -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
