I had a similar situation in sid recently, with the wireless password 
being asked over and over.  Finally, I went into nm-applet and saw 
that the password was not recorded in the connection settings.  After I 
entered it there, I wasn't asked incessantly.  If this works for you, it 
won't solve your disconnect/reconnect problem but hopefully it won't be 
as annoying/noticeable.
