I am not quite so sure about "depicted the scenario", the problem I faced is that $ somescipt | awk '{print $1}' [u'5', 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 I am interested the sum of those numbers. so curious are there some quick way.
