Does this mean you have not touched or altered the networking setup from
what you did during the installation?

Would it be possible to describe in what way the conection is not
satisfactory?

And when the wireless card is put back in ....?

Posting the interfaces file from /etc/network would do to begin with.
And some people like to know if you have Network Manager on the system.
