Even if you uninstall the nVidia drivers and go back to the nouveau drivers it usually won't use anything else. There is an extensive thread on this topic on the Fedora forums that I participated in because I use Fedora on my laptop. Some reported success, but I could never get it to work and eventually gave up. Sorry I don't have the link bookmarked, but searching the forums on "teardrop" should turn it up.
