I don't know who you ran that command as.... I'm "assuming" you ran it a user as you don't post sudo. Is that the UUID of your removable USB drive? Is that the same directory you gave to boztu earlier. eg.:- $ sudo chown -R boztu:boztu /media/8eef3b99-c17b-4913-ae61-d34c7fd5d459/ ?? If you that ^ is what you did - please post the output of:- $ ls -alL /media/8eef3b99-c17b-4913-ae61-d34c7fd5d459/ (if it's more than just a dozen lines, and they're all consistent please trim). NOTE: the "$" means run as non-root, I shall put "$ sudo" or "#" to indicate "run as root". How do you mount your removable USB drive - /etc/fstab? SOLID? or some other mechanism?
