Hello, I just subscribed to the mailing list. I net-installed Debian 6.0 on an Asus eeepc 1215p netbook and everything seemed ok, including updates of the kernel and firmware to access the net. However, after an update of several packages (appart from kernel) including wicd, and knetworkmanager a kernel failure message pop-up window appears on the screen from time to time.
