I'm pretty sure that that is one I have installed for someone else. I myself have the ML-1510, which is older, but similar. At one stage I had to use the "wrong" driver with a printer, I don't remember which, that I was installing for someone else. I just tried each similar sounding model until I came to one that worked OK! But that was before the days of splix. With splix you should be fine.
