Actually, I have completely missed it! (I knew of the new version being released a few days ago) However, what I mean is that TDE "is unlikely ever to rival KDE4" and chanches are that it'll be the same for Mate rivaling Gnome 3 (at least, IMHO). I know that if TDE is still active, then there must be a user-base, but I was trying to say that this user-base is really small in comparison to KDE 4 user-base. . > Moreover, some users are new users and not just "nostalgics". I was just conjecturing on the possible future of Mate based on prior forks, i.e.: to make it short, I wouldn't count on it.
