I have run "update-flashplugin-nonfree --install" and it downloads the
latest plugin at
/var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree/
install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz

after uncompromising it I get

1. libflashplayer.so
2. usr folder

I have copied libflashplayer.so at /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/ but
google-chrome still complaining about a old version and firefox want to
download the plugin to activate flash support.
Hum... AFAIK you have to drop the "libflashplayer.so" under "/usr/lib64/
mozilla/plugins/" folder, at least for Firefox (dunno where Google Chrome looks for the plugins) :-?

Thanks... Here the problem solved after a reboot.

google chrome is happy as it can see

Flash - Version: 11.1 r102
Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102

firefox-8 don't claim to download the adobe plugins anymore.

So what does it use for flashplayer?
