I've been using Reiser for over 2 years and I've always been able of writing big files to it. However as I'm not sure about how big they were I've googled and found the following:
- ----- > I read in a LFS list that ReiserFS has a filesizelimit of 4GB? Now, is this true, or that particular users problem in the kernel wich did not support larger files? That is only true for Reiserfs with 3.5 disk format using a kernel 2.2. With a 2.4 kernel and using the 3.6 disk format (convertion possible without reformat/backup) you can have larger files. - ----- SID seems to be v.3.6: - ----- [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache show reiserfsprogs|grep Version Version: 1:3.6.11-1 - ----- Hope it's useful to you ;) - -- Joan Tur.
