Just in case... Are you using a newer than Lenny Linux kernel? If so then you will hit the problem of the init scripts not detecting nfs support correctly. The init script fails to start if you are using a newer than Lenny kernel because the kernel interface changed. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=550153 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=561674 That is very easy to trip into by installing a backported kernel onto Lenny. Everything should be resolved okay in Squeeze. This is unlikely to be your problem but it is very easy to hit and seems like good information to be attached to this question. Bob
