Hmm... where do you get that the latest version is 1.5.0-6?

Getting status for cups...
Checking for newer versions at packages.debian.org...
Your version (1.5.0-5) of cups appears to be out of date.
The following newer release(s) are available in the Debian archive:
stable: 1.5.0-6
unstable: 1.5.0-6
Do you still want to file a report [y|N|q|?]?
Newer released version; stopping.
Interesting...
The current version of cups in wheezy is 1.5.0-5, the one you have
installed. 1.5.0-6 is in sid, but not wheezy yet.

Your apt database is correct.
Then, that's OK, and will continue w/ my bug report.
Looking at the changelog for cups, it looks like 1.5.0-5 had a bug
reported against it:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=641182
which has been fixed in 1.5.0-6. The bug has only just been marked as
closed, so the new version should enter wheezy/testing (and presumably
stable updates) soon.
It is slightly confusing that reportbug seems to take into account
updates that haven't yet filtered through to the live systems.
