My guess is that non-subscribers users (like me) do receive the footer

messages that reach the list.
Sorry to kybosh your theory, Camalen, but I am subscribed and I
usually (I
would have said always, but I just checked) get the footers. :-)

Every e-mail I've gotten so far, has had the foot on it... So I think
it's safe to say, always does apply in my case.
... but this one didn't here.
Curiously - if you look in the source of *all* posts on the list you find:-

List-Unsubscribe:
<mailto:debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org?subject=unsubscribe>
[/quote]
Something broken? If that code was in the post appended signature people
would only need to click on it.

planes won't take off.
Every time I read about a hijacking on the news I just think to myself
- just do it - let's see how far you get, I paid and didn't get off the
ground.
I've thought about that too - dreamed of it - putting a gun to the
pilot's head. That would feel so good.
"this is a hijacking"
"where do you want to go - Cuba?"
"No, I want to go where this plane was supposed to be five hours ago"
That's right, I'm hijacking this plane to it's scheduled destination."
