The warning when running "sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart": "Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not enable again some interfaces ... (warning)." "sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart" only brings up NICs marked "auto"/"allow-auto"; NICs marked "auto-hotplug" are ignored.
