I know that it should be into firefox's user's profile or
/var/lib/whatever , but it seats there, as a "legacy" of older
firefoxes and works fine .
I guess that having the plugin installed into "~/.mozilla/plugins" will
also affect/benefit another browsers (Chrome/Opera) that use the user's
path location.

Yes, i used that path in the days of Netscape, and used it with Konqueror .
Today i'm only using firefox, as i didn't liked either Chrome nor Opera.
I may modernize myself , i guess.
