Probably not. The last I read on the issue MS changed their protocols
(again) so alot of stuff like audio/webcam isn't working anymore. This
happened sometime after amsn's last release... and that was late 2010. Not
the most authoritative but someone's complained,

It's very difficult asking people to switch something they've had a hard (or
long) time learning, but try to get your mom on something that's more open
than skype. Cause call me crazy but I don't doubt this type of thing will
stop in the proprietary world any time soon.
