I doubt it. Try ls -l /usr/bin/x-terminal-emulator you should see it is a link to /etc/alternatives/x-terminal-emulator which is then a link to a script. If you try to open any of them you'll just be opening the final one, which is a script (gnome-terminal.wrapper). I don't have gnome-terminal installed to assist in troubleshooting, though. -- Liam
