In the process of setting up a new machine I've upraded the kernel from 2.2 to 2.4.22-1-686 using apt-get upgrade
I am getting:- ---- VFS Cannot open root device "303" or 03:03 Please append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03 ---- I can boot from a floppy using root=/dev/hda3 & this is the option in lilo.conf (& yes I have run lilo) Cannot find any ref to "303" or 03:03 in the docs.
