Hello group,
I want to powerdown my ide harddisk completly.
I'm booting from a usb stick so the IDE disk is CONSUMING... I have an
old laptop so I'd like to preserver as much as possible.

I tried hdparm -Y /dev/sda but hdparm -C /dev/sda reports it's only in
standby...
And actually I can hear it spinning...
It must be possible to power it down completly no?

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Greetings,
Geert
