My encounter with this has been an attempt to make a bootable diskette for updating the BIOS on a Foxconn board. Did Foxconn have their filesystem mounted with UTF8 and the US codepage? If they used strictly ASCII filenames, are the encoding and codepage a concern? [Use MS or have more trouble than bargained for ... again!] Regards, ...
