The last line in my case is: DPkg::Post-Invoke:: "if [ -x /usr/sbin/localepurge ] && [ $(ps w -p $PPID | grep -c remove) != 1 ]; then /usr/sbin/localepurge; else exit 0; fi"; I have localepurge installed and use a different locale from "en". I always thought it was locale-related but couldn't figure out when and how apt-get or aptitude would take the locale into account. Now I know. Thanks again.
