if you're going to use one computer for everything (i wouldn't recommend
that) i'd go with debian because of the web server factor. however, if you
have multiple environments, i'd use ubuntu for the desktop, and a debian dev
box (probably put svn on the desktop and have a nightly tarball put back on
the dev box) and a debian server. there's no way in hell i'd even think
about doing dev work on a server.
