I've found that smaller CDs or DVDs cost more than full sized ones; they
have their place, but sometimes a drive won't take the smaller size
(slot loaders). And yes, it might be a waste for a tiny CD, but often
times a USB will work fine for the job of a floppy and it is more easily
re-used.
