If I connect the card through a card reader to a USB port >both in Konqueror and a terminal, I cannot read the SDHC cards but can >read "ordinary" SD cards. I have a Lenovo T61, which probably has the same card reader. I am going to get a smart phone in about a month and was trying to figure out if the T61 could read SDHC cards, specifically if an SDHC card could be inserted without an adapter, and I never could find a clear answer. (Apparently there are three different sizes.) I decided to just wait until I actually have the phone and SDHC card in my hands and then try it. If it doesn't work, well, my T61 also has Bluetooth, and a USB cable comes with the phone, so there are other options. I just wanted to load my mp3 collection on the card quickly and easily. More to the point regarding your problem, I did discover on the Thinkwiki the advice that a lot of people have problems when using an adapter. Apparently it is a hardware problem, where some adapters do not connect all the pins completely or correctly. I am sorry I did not save the URL for the article on Thinkwiki. Hopefully Google can find it for you. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
