Oh, and you are sure you didn't overlook a tiny line along the lines of
"IRQ 16: nobody cared"? -That totally destroys disk IO on my system and
happens since the last few kernel versions (only recent vanilla kernels
on my system) occasionally. And totally unreproducible. Even happens on
a totally idle system during the night.
