I just checked one of my servers, all of which have a 100MB /boot partition at the outside cylinder of the drive. The first cylinder of any modern drive, especially single platter drives, is going to be many gigabytes in size. Thus, I'm pretty sure my 100MB boot partitions do NOT end on cylinder boundaries. However, I don't receive the notification you do.
