-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I tried to burn two CDROMs. K3B went through all the steps, except the last ones, starting with actually burning the disk. When afterwards I tried to mount it, the disk title I assigned showed, but no content, thus ruining the disks.
On checking the debug file, I found the following: cdrecord /usr/bin/wodim: Operation not permitted. Warning: Cannot raise RLIMIT_MEMLOCK limit. I googled that term and found that it apparently has something to do with security, but if the limit is too low I should raise it. To do so I was told to add these two lines to file /etc/security/limits.conf: * soft memlock unlimited * hard memlock unlimited I looked at that file, but there is no uncommented line in it, nor any commented line resembling those two. Running the command "ulimit" however returns "unlimited". Next I was able successfully to burn a CDROM in a different computer which has the same K3B configuration as the first one, as far as I could see. So it is a mystery to me why I could burn on the second computer but not the first. I hope someone can explain to me what happened and what I can do about it. Many thanks.
