Good day. I have very long hanging w/ gdm (at least comparing w/ kdm on the same machine) - before it appears. How I can reduce that?
By the way in /etc/X11/default-display-manager I have /usr/bin/gdm - the file that does not exist. Changing it to /usr/sbin/gdm - did not solve the problem. Also, I have no /var/log/gdm If appliable, # tail Xorg.0.log (**) Generic Keyboard: XkbOptions: "grp:alt_shift_toggle" (**) Option "CustomKeycodes" "off" (**) Generic Keyboard: CustomKeycodes disabled (II) evaluating device (<default pointer>) (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "<default pointer>" (type: MOUSE) (II) evaluating device (Generic Keyboard) (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Generic Keyboard" (type: KEYBOARD) (--) <default pointer>: PnP-detected protocol: "ExplorerPS/2" (II) <default pointer>: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded [config/hal] couldn't initialise context: (null) ((null)) Thank You for Your time. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
