You need to set a port, on the command line or via the PILOTPORT
environment variable; see the man pages for pilot-link and pilot-xfer.
Jpilot also uses the PILOTPORT environment variable.  Hint: I have
"export PILOTPORT=usb:" in my .bashrc .
