"that" card :-( This is the second time I see a report like yours: sis driver cannot go beyond 800x600 (it defaults to VESA) and it seems to be already reported (at least for Ubuntu): [needs-packaging] no working driver for sis 671/771 video cards https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-sis/+bug/301958 Take a closer look into that bug and check if you are facing the same problem. Maybe you can also find some workaround in there :-? Besides, there is a Debian bug that could also be of your interest: xserver-xorg-video-sis: X fails to start (SiS 771/671 - No devices detected) http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=546741 Greetings, -- Camaleón -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
