First, I don't think they should be running at all inside a KDE session, only when you login in a GNOME session. Second, try to guess what of the above services is the one monopolizing the volume manager and kill the process (maybe "gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor"?) then connect a USB flash or a CD medium to see what happens.
