Thanks oliver, I only did "apt-get install mysql-server" after which I did "mysqladmin -u root -p create moregroupware"
Nothing... Same error with our without the "-p" If a root password has been set, it has been during downloading and unpacking of the debian package. in other words: not by me.. Does anyone know if a password is set when freshly installing mysql?
