Please confirm the make/model of your modem. The only refernence I can find to "Aztech At 3100" is your own post to this mailing list. In general, a Google search of the modem make/model, plus the term "Linux", will turn up useful informatino. Also read the Modem HOWTO (available as a Debian package or at http://www.tldp.org/).
