Makes no difference with 2.6.32-trunk-amd or 2.6.30-2-amd64.
However, when I manually execute modprobe -r radeon modprobe radeon modeset=1 using 2.6.32-trunk-amd I see the request and loading for/of the radeon firmware. After that my terminal screen goes into high resolution (the LCD's native 1600x1200 I guess). I cannot (re)start gdm however. I cannot determine why because I have to reboot to get a usable machine. -- Groeten, Joost Kraaijeveld Askesis B.V.
