I couldn't agree more. Let those who like constant flux use e.g. Ubuntu. Or one of many other distributions. One of the many reasons that I like Debian, and possibly the most important, is the longevity and resultant stability. I am bitterly disappointed that it is jumping on the rapid turnover bandwagon. Oh, well. There is always CentOS and rpm. But I do like aptitude etc. :-( I have already lost KDE 3. Life is sometimes hard...
