There is /etc/udev/rules.d/z25-persistent-net.rules, and here is its content: # This file was automatically generated by the /lib/udev/write_net_rules # program, probably run by the persistent-net-generator.rules rules file. # # You can modify it, as long as you keep each rule on a single line. # MAC addresses must be written in lowercase. # Firewire device 00030d53255c8616 (ohci1394) SUBSYSTEM=="net", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTRS{address}=="00:03:0d:53:25:5c:86:16", NAME="eth0" # PCI device 0x1039:0x0900 (sis900) SUBSYSTEM=="net", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTRS{address}=="00:03:0d:33:02:17", NAME="eth1" But, know what? I thought that eth1 might be the right one and replaced eth0 with eth1, and now... it works!! But only from the other pc onto this one, not viceversa. Can you please suggest...?
