This doesn't look as if soffice.bin (StarOffice?) was the culprit, it's rather a problem with CUPS (close to 60% memory used by this process alone). Are you trying to print some color pictures on an inkjet printer? That's a pretty memory consuming task since the picture would be rasterized by the CPU and then sent to the printer in small chunks.
