Hello List,
I am setting up a pc with lenny as a server which I want to run 24/7 and so
power saving is a big issue for me. I've got problems with it that I
can't find any info about.
There is a continuous clicking from the harddrives - once every 10 to 15
seconds. The commit interval shown in the boot log below - 5 - is that normal?
Would I be insane to increase it? It seems to be only through kernel
recompilation unfortunately.
Display blanking kicks in after 10 mins - at the command line or in the GUI. I
can't find any setting for it. Again, is this a kernel recompilation only
option?
Lastly, are these errors in the boot log anything relevant to the issue?
Any advice gratefully received.
