the solutions is to define a filter in gmail. The filter should put a label (for example "debian-user") on every email with " debian-u...@lists-debian.org" in the "To:" field. This works fine for me. Besides putting the label, you can choose to remove the email from the INBOX folder automatically as well. My two cents.
