Let a /etc/network/interfaces be, with these lines:
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.15
network 192.168.1.0
broadcast 192.168.1.255
gateway 192.168.1.254
What is the role of 'network'?
I mean:
If I am on a 192.168.1.8/27:
address 192.168.1.8
netmask 255.255.255.224
What to put as 'network'?
