That's exactly what I did, but it did not install. Indeed, I have tried two such add-ons, the one I mentioned in my first post, and another I downloaded from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/: reply_to_mailing_list-0.4.3-tb.xpi* That one did not install either. The only difference I can see between is that you mentioned TBird; whereas I used Icedove. The latest Icedove available in stable -- presently Lenny -- is 2.0.0.22; and a later version is not (yet?) available in testing. Are you using TBird 2.x.x, or a beta version of TBird 3.0.x, instead of Icedove?
