In the meantime I put the card in a Debian Squeeze box and there was no problem with X-Windows but I don't know how to use the card. Gnome didn't recognize it so I tried to use wine to run the setup.exe on the cd but this failed. I think I read one post that said Ubuntu recognized it out of the box.
