> Show us the output of > /etc/init.d/imapproxy start there is none. i just get a prompt back, but that service doesn't start. > And see if you have the file /var/log/mail.err > Look into it if there's one and see if it helps. i listed the output from mail.err above -- it's the single line referring to "SetBannerAndCapability", that's all. that line is printed upon every attempt to finish configuring imapproxy. and the "dpkg" status shows that that package is still only "install ok half-configured". although, since this merely an "optional" package, shouldn't i be able to take it out or ignore it for now? email does seem to be working so perhaps fixing this package can be pushed down the priority list for now. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
