What are you referring to?  Kindly learn to use your MUA instead of TL
posting unrelated stuff.

It's no problem to remove HAL from an individual system if you accept
to run ancient X,  what OP (Dirk irrc) asked for was removing the
dependency 

   X needs HAL needs usbutils
