On my Debian Etch system, I see this:

    SUDO(8)                      MAINTENANCE COMMANDS SUDO(8)

    NAME
           sudo, sudoedit - execute a command as another user
    ...
    FILES
            /etc/sudoers           List of who can run what
            /var/run/sudo              Directory containing timestamps
