I have a simple problem: a newly installed Lenny system does not has a DNS domainname: xenhost01:/etc# dnsdomainname dnsdomainname: Unknown host xenhost01:~# hostname xenhost01 My /etc/hosts: ### Hetzner Online AG installimage # nameserver config # IPv4 10.10.10.10 xenhosts01.domain.com xenhosts01 127.0.0.1 localhost # # IPv6 ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback fe00::0 ip6-localnet ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix ff02::1 ip6-allnodes ff02::2 ip6-allrouters ff02::3 ip6-allhosts I even tried to set the name with sysconfig: kernel.domainname = sound-service.eu but this has no effect, too. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
