i believe what your looking for in <something> is cupsys. but thats not going to ask you for passwords or users or anything like that..... just
tried it.

It may ask for a userid and password at low priority. See "-- priority=value" option in the dpkg-reconfigure(8) man page. Or maybe there's something you
can set in debconf that will do it...
