Thanks, that was nice! Actually, posting to a mailing list without being subscribed to it is explicitly covered by the Debian Mailing List Code of Conduct [1]. Relevant quote: "If you send messages to lists to which you are not subscribed, always note that fact in the body of your message.". [1] http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/#codeofconduct Lack of time is actually the reason, not bandwidth costs. Back in my student years, I had a enough free time and not much money. Fast-forward a few years, it's the other way around. I meant no offense to anyone, but when I'm coming late and tired after job I'm not going to spend the few free hours reading or answering tens of e-mails (some people I care about would have a big problem with that, and honestly, me too).
