I am facing a similar situation: attempting to set up a webcam under sid. Not succeeding in getting any display yet. 2.6.26 doesn't have gspca, but 2.6.29 does. I've tried - two webcams - amd64 and 486 kernels - camorama and skype > If you need more help with getting your camera working then we have to > see the relevant part of your "lsusb" output. Both cameras are recognized, creating /dev/video0. $ lsusb Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 006: ID 0ac8:307b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp.
